OUR GOAL this year is to help 70 rural pregnant women with histories of infertility, recurrent miscarriages, and or stillbirths become mothers with healthy babies.
GET INVOLVEDEvery Woman Deserves a chance
Pregnancy and Childbirth are special stages in a woman’s life. Complications around conception and birth, such as infertility, miscarriages and stillbirths, are challenges experienced by many women across the globe. For women in rural Nigeria, misinformation, poverty, and a moribund maternal healthcare system compound the challenges of these women. This causes untold agony, disappointment, and a sense of unfulfillment. Victoria’s Smile Foundation is committed to putting a smile on the faces of these women. To achieve our objectives, we deploy a three-pronged approach that revolves around providing financial support, emotional support, and educational support on best practices as far as ante-natal care is concerned. We have conducted sensitisation programs across various LGAs in Ondo State to educate pregnant women on the importance of ante-natal care for mothers and their infants. We have also successfully had our first baby, a boy named ‘Ayodele’, born to one of our beneficiaries, Elizabeth Michael, in February, 2022. Our goal for 2023 is to help thirty women like Elizabeth Michael experience the joys of motherhood.
THE LEGACY OF VICTORIA'S SMILE FOUNDATION
Elizabeth Michael (pictured), a native of Benue State and resident of Ondo State, Nigeria, is one of our first beneficiaries. Before becoming a Victoria's Smile Foundation beneficiary, Mrs Michael had suffered two miscarriages. Investigations revealed that rigorous manual labour and malnutrition triggered her previous miscarriages. She became one of our beneficiaries a few weeks into her third pregnancy; with the support of our donors and the care of our programme officers, she delivered a healthy baby boy in February 2022. There are more women like Mrs Michael in Rural communities in Nigeria. We need your support to help them enjoy the joys of motherhood.

“Victoria’s Smile Foundation found me when I was four months pregnant. I had lost two pregnancies, I was severely malnourished and overworked. They took care of me; gave me food, paid for my medical bills, listened to all my fears and allayed them. They bought everything I needed to ease labour and delivery. It is because of them that I have this baby to hold. I don’t know how else to thank them but I am forever grateful.”
