Victoria’s Smile Foundation (VSF) First Walkathon
On August 27, 2022, Victoria’s Smile Foundation (VSF) held its inaugural walkathon, marking
a significant milestone in our mission to support pregnant women in Nigeria. The walkathon
saw participants journeying from Stanmore Station to Bond Street Station, starting early at 7
AM. The walk, which took just over three hours, was completed by the quickest participant
in 2 hours and 40 minutes. A total of fifteen dedicated supporters joined the UK walk, while
simultaneously, approximately 20 participants walked in Lagos, Nigeria.
Purpose and Impact: The funds raised from this event were pivotal in enabling us to support
women in Nigeria who face significant challenges, including infertility, miscarriages, and
stillbirths. With the proceeds, we provided comprehensive support to these women,
encompassing financial assistance, emotional support, and educational resources. Our
efforts aimed to ensure these women receive the care and support they need during
pregnancy and beyond.
Our Mission: Since the walkathon, the funds have been instrumental in:
Financial Support:
Helping cover the costs of medical care, treatments, and essential supplies for pregnant women.
Emotional Support:
Offering counseling and support to address the emotional toll of infertility, miscarriages, and stillbirths.
Educational Resources:
Providing information and guidance on pregnancy care, childbirth, and postnatal care to ensure the well-being of both mothers and babies.
