OUR CAMPAIGNS You are welcome again to 2023.This year, we have a lot of projects and campaigns that will be unfolded in due course. Our first project for this year is tagged 20Smilesfor20years in collaboration with Mrs. Abe Tade as her commitment to humanitarian work. This month was used to put several plans in place for our launch and other programs that we have slated for the coming months. OUR BABIES All our babies are doing great and we are in constant touch with them to ensure that they are thriving. We are also expecting our last baby from the 2022 program to be born in February. OUR PARTNERSHIPS Our collaboration with the Hospital Management Board, specifically the Mother and Child Hospital, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria has yielded positively so far. We have helped 6 women with histories of infertility, recurrent miscarriages and still births have their babies through the medical expertise of the hospital, paid for by the foundation. The hospital has helped us immensely with investigations and also assisted greatly in providing quality healthcare that can be obtained for the new mothers, babies and other pregnant women that are still in the program. They are also committed to helping us to take care of the pregnant women that we will be taking on this year. WHAT’S NEW OUR CAMPAIGNS We are focusing on our project 20Smilesfor20years and beneficiaries’ welfare and health as well as on getting more women to provide the needed help to .We are also determined to raise more money as our beneficiaries require special and often times more expensive healthcare and diet compared with other pregnant women. We will be focusing more on fund raising through the walkathons, donations, and sales of products this year to provide the needed funds for the pregnant we will be taking on OUR BABIES We are gearing up to welcoming more babies and all hospital essentials have been made available. We are hopeful for 23 or more babies before the year ends. OUR PARTNERSHIPS Our aim is for better collaboration with our health care providers and to partner with organizations and individuals that can help us to further the goals of the foundation.

DECEMBER 2022 NEWSLETTER

2022, It rained Babies In the year 2022, our goal was to help 22 mothers to be through their pregnancies, delivery and six-weeks of postpartum care. While we didn’t hit our target, we are grateful for the love and support of our donors who helped us reach these impressive numbers. YEAR IN REVIEW Ondo state is our Pilot State. We are focusing on rural communities in Ondo State. In 2022, we held six sensitization programs across various rural communities in Ondo state, educating expecting mothers. The foundation welcomed seven babies this year We went on 25 familiarization visits across various communities in Ondo state, Nigeria We held our first of its kind walkathon event to raise fund for our beneficiary in August.

OCTOBER 2022 NEWSLETTER

Our Campaign The month of October was so overwhelming for us at VSF. We welcomed our second VSF baby, a baby girl on the the 27th of September 2022 and it went uphill from there. Our third baby, also a girl arrived on the 3rd of October, and we could not be more grateful. We also welcomed a baby boy on the 8th of October , but he suffered a fractured arm during the C-section. On a somber note, We lost a baby boy on the 12th of October due to an incompetent cervix and an infection. Our fifth baby, another girl arrived on the 13th of October and our hands have been full taking care of new-born babies and mothers. Our Babies All our babies are doing great, and we are in constant touch with their families to ensure that they are happy and healthy. Our Partnership Our collaboration with the Hospital Management Board specifically the Mother and Child Hospital, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria has yielded positively and so far, we have helped a few women with histories of infertility, recurrent miscarriages and stillbirths have their healthy babies through the medical expertise of the hospital paid for by the foundation. About Us We are a non-governmental organization that supports rural pregnant women with histories of infertility, miscarriages and stillbirth through pregnancy, birth and beyond. This means we cover all pregnancy related care right from the time when we take on a woman (usually at 4 months of pregnancy) till six weeks after delivery. Recap Our Campaigns We had another defining moment as an organization. We did our Uk launch at millsouk on 30th July and we were well received. It was such a blessing to be there creating awareness for the rural pregnant women in Nigeria with histories of infertility, miscarriages and stillbirths. One of the highlights of the event was meeting the Nigerian actress and celebrity; Kehinde Bankole who applauded our cause and wished us well. We also had a walkathon in the Uk and in Nigeria to raise awareness and donations for our beneficiaries. We are grateful to all the participants for their show of love. Our Babies Baby Ayodele Michael is still waxing strong and hitting his milestones. Even though the foundation is no  longer supporting the family with financial aid as stated in our terms, we still keep in touch and are happy that he is doing well. Our Partnerships Our collaboration with Hospital Management Board, specifically the Mother and Child Hospital, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria has yielded positively and so far, we have 5 pregnant women with histories of recurrent miscarriages and stillbirths as beneficiaries of the foundation. The Hospital has helped us immensely with investigations and also assisted greatly in providing quality healthcare that can be obtained for the beneficiaries. What’s New? Our Campaigns We are focusing on our beneficiaries welfare and health as well as getting more women to provide the needed help to. We are also determined to raise more money as our beneficiaries require special and oftentimes more expensive healthcare and diet compared with other pregnant women. Our Babies We are gearing to welcome our babies by buying delivery essentials and we are as expectant as the incoming parents Our Partnerships Our aim is for better collaboration with our healthcare providers and to partner with organizations that can help us to further the goals of the foundation. AUGUST 2022 NEWSLETTER

About Us We are a non-governmental organization that supports rural pregnant women with histories of infertility, miscarriage and stillbirth through pregnancy, birth and beyond. This means we cover all pregnancy related care right from the time when we take on a woman (usually at 4 months of pregnancy) till six weeks after delivery. Recap Our Campaigns We had a sensitization programme in collaboration with one of our partners, Pangels Development Foundation (PDF) at Mother and Child Hospital, Akure, Ondo State. We educated pregnant women on malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The women were as excited as we were. It was quite enlightening. Our Babies Our first baby Ayodele remains a very happy bundle of joy. This month, he would be 6 months old. We are glad and excited. Our Partnerships We signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the ministry of rural and community development, Akure, Ondo State which has opened up access to rural pregnant women who meet our criteria and can be taken on as beneficiaries. What’s New? Our Campaigns We are focusing our educational support on the women attending the Mother and Child Hospital, Akure. We are working closely with the senior management of the hospital and we intend to carry out sensitization programmes as recommended by them. Our Babies We are working on onboarding even more beneficiaries following our positive relationships with Mother and Child Hospital, Akure. The Hospital Management Team have been very proactive with their recommendations and we are taking advantage of their generosity. Thankfully, our current pregnant beneficiaries are thriving and in great health. We are praying for successful deliveries. Our Partnerships Our Partnership with the Ministry of Health, Akure, Ondo State has enabled us have access to pregnant women in large numbers which has made our engagement with them easier and fruitful. This month, we would intensify our bond with our partners.

Recap Our Campaigns We had two sensitization programmes. In collaboration with one of the partners, Pangels Development Foundation(PDF), at Idanre General Hospital, Alade, Ondo State and Mother and Child Hospital, Akure, Ondo State respectively. We educated pregnant women on malaria cases, prevention and treatment. The women were as excited as we were and we had two phenomenally successful events. Our Babies Our first baby Ayodele is doing well, he is steadily and effortlessly hitting great milestones. Our Patnerships Our collaborative efforts with the Hospital Management Board (HMB) at Department of Health, Ondo State has opened us up to privileges such as provision of 100 mosquito nets by Ondo State Government at our two sensitizations What’s  New Our Campaigns We would be holding sensitization programme at various locations across Ondo State, and we will be sure to keep you posted. Our Babies This month, we are working towards taking on 5 pregnant women. With our new partnership with HMB, we are certain this is achievable. Our Partnerships This month, we would be signing an MOU with the ministry of Rural and Community Development. Our aim was to educate pregnant women about malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment and how our foundation is helping women through it. Our team did an excellent job engaging them to spread the word. It was indeed a successful event Our Babies Our first baby, Ayodele Michael is doing well as the foundation constantly follows up on his well being. This is an important step in our beneficiaries’ selection process. What’s New? He was born quite small and came a little early, but he continues to thrive. We are excited to see our little boy happy and safe. Our Partnerships We are also excited to now be a partner of the Hospital Management Board (HMB) at Department of health of Ondo State. This partnership means we have access to medical records of registered pregnant women with histories of infertility, miscarriages, and stillbirth. We are now able to speedily find beneficiaries and confirm if they qualify for the support. What’s New Our Campaigns This month, we would be hosting campaigns in collaboration with one of our partners, Pangel Development Foundation, a non-profit organization, a non-profit organization that creates an environment where people can make informed choices about their reproductive health. This is to further strengthen our resolve to put pregnant women first. Information is indeed power. Our Babies This month, we are working towards taking on 5 pregant women. With our new partnership with HMB, we are certain this is achievable.
